Legacy Ambassador Matt Alexander

I started playing tennis when I was eight years old and I was tremendously fortunate to have such excellent coaches that inspired me to form a lifelong passion for the game. They created an incredibly fun environment to be involved with the sport and fully supported me when I was interested in playing more competitively. To this day, I’m extremely grateful for their positive influence on my perception of tennis from a young age. Since transitioning full time to coaching after playing tennis collegiately, my goal is to share this passion with as many people as possible. To create an enjoyable, yet informative experience for someone when they step onto a tennis court is a goal I will strive to work towards for the rest of my career.
Love Serving Autism extends an open hand to welcome more people to enjoy tennis and other racket sports. I was fortunate enough to work with LSA during my time coaching in Boca Raton and the sessions quickly became an automatic highlight of my week. To see the instant joy this beautiful sport can have on those in the community who may not have as many opportunities to play was truly inspiring. I remember meeting Lisa for the first time and it was automatically crystal clear how much she cares for the positive impact that LSA can have on a community. The effort and heart that Lisa’s put into building Love Serving Autism is incredibly genuine to create a better opportunity for those with autism spectrum disorders and developmental challenges. To have this opportunity with LSA where I can strive to add to the life changing impact the organization is able to have on families means the world to me.
I’ve always been a great believer in appreciation for anything and everything in life. To see the joy expressed through the faces of those now able to participate in sports due to the support of Love Serving Autism is an indescribable feeling. With my experience and passion for the sport, I’m very excited to help the organization continue to grow further and continue to make life changing impacts on the lives of not just individuals, but also their families.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in a sporting activity that excites them. Some may require more assistance than others but nevertheless I don’t believe that should influence the opportunities that person should have available to them. LSA creates a wholesome environment that not only gives the opportunity of participation but fully supports and appreciates a community coming together to make life changing impacts for those who may need a little help sometimes.
A time to honor our ambassadors and raise funds and awareness.
The mission of the annual Match Point Gala is to celebrate and honor those nominated as “Legacy Ambassadors.” These are community partners and individuals who have made significant contributions through participation, awareness campaigns, and fundraising.
Their efforts and the funds raised catalyze the development and expansion of Love Serving Autism’s therapeutic programs. These programs create an inclusive and accepting community for neurodiverse individuals, on and off the courts.
