Serving Autism and Developmental Disabilities On and Off The Courts

Match Point Gala Mission Statement

The mission of the Match Point Gala is to annually celebrate and honor community partners and individuals, nominated as a “Legacy” Ambassador, who have made significant contributions through awareness campaigns and fundraising. Their efforts and funds raised will be a catalyst for the development of and expansion of Love Serving Autism’s therapeutic programs creating an inclusive and accepting community for neurodiverse individuals, on and off the court.”

The Match Point Gala helps us raise funds to achieve our mission, further the growth and sustainability of Love Serving Autism, and ultimately, reach our long term goals, like the INTERACT Facility shown above. The purpose of this facility is to establish and operate an inclusive indoor therapeutic tennis & multi-sport facility for typical & neuro-diverse children & adults to:

  • Advance fitness, physical and life skills, sports, inclusion & wellbeing

  • Train & certify 100 tennis pros annually to coach adaptive tennis
  • The facility will provide for year-round therapeutic tennis classes; tournaments; & professional development

Legacy of the Year Candidates turn this vision into a reality…

This Year’s Theme: ANCHORED IN LOVE

This year marks the second annual Match Point Gala, and we’re thrilled to be able to gather together once again in honor of, INVOLVEMENT, INTERACTION, INSPIRATION and INCLUSION! Our gala is themed around an anchor, which is the foundation and the solid piece that holds everything in place… like our Legacies building the foundation for Love Serving Autism and representing the strength to help us involve, inspire, interact and include for Love Serving Autism. Thank you for showing your support for Love Serving Autism, by joining our competition and becoming a 2023 Legacy of the Year Candidate! We are so excited for this journey leading up to our second annual Match Point Gala, as we celebrate the spirit of love-anchored appreciation that comes from being involved in making meaningful change!

WHAT IS A LEGACY OF THE YEAR?

The Match Point Gala unites and recognizes Love Serving Autism’s most prominent supporters who advocate for community inclusion and independence of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Challenges. Love Serving Autism and past legacy candidates select the ambassadors for their Legacy of the Year campaign based on a person’s compassion and dedication to Love Serving Autism and the community. Ambassadors are compassionate, well-networked, and the change we wish to see in the world.

Legacy candidates/teams raise funds and mission awareness by hosting events, such as tennis, pickleball, and community building events, securing sponsorships, ticket/table sales, garnering auction items, promoting products, asking for donations or however creatively they would like to showcase the mission and raise funds for Love Serving Autism. All funds raised by each Legacy/team will be tabulated throughout the campaign and through the evening of the Match Point Gala. At the conclusion of the Gala, the Legacy/team who has raised the most funds for Love Serving Autism, will be crowned as the 2023 Love Serving Autism, Legacy of the Year winner. Each year, the prior year’s Legacy of the Year winner will crown the new Legacy winner, passing on the title, ensuring a strong and lasting Legacy for everyone impacted by Love Serving Autism.

New this year, our Legacy program will showcase teamwork! Legacy Candidates will be assigned a “Legacy Leader”, one of Love Serving Autism’s Athletes/Participants. The Legacy Leader will help showcase and promote the mission of LSA and be available to support and help raise awareness on their campaign.

Our Legacy’s and Legacy Leaders are anchored in our MISSION!!
