Meet the team

Student Leadership Ambassadors

Student ambassadors are high school students who start LSA clubs in their schools.

Legacy Ambassadors raise awareness and funds for LSA and are celebrated at our annual Match Point Gala.

Gia Majano

2024-2025 President

It is an honor to be a student ambassador for Love Serving Autism. My position allows me to share my knowledge of the autistic community to the world. I have used my platform to start a club at my school, American Heritage Delray. We connect our members with weekly volunteering opportunities with LSA and spread awareness about autism amounts adults and children. The topic of autism does not have to be uncomfortable; we are all one community in this world. This is a message I am passionate about and being an ambassador lets me voice this to all who will listen.

Gia has been nominated as a Legacy Ambassador. Please click below to read more about her fundraising campaign.

Luke & Jake Salman

Co-PAST Presidents

Luke and Jake Salman are devoted leaders on our LSA team as assistant coaches in Plantation’s Central Park, at the 2022 U.S. Open and the 2023 Miami Open on-court experiences. They are Legacy Ambassadors for our Match Point Gala, and they’ve played an integral role in securing a grant to start our afterschool adaptive tennis program in Miami at The South Florida Autism Charter School. Whether it’s upgrading our website or helping create our coaches’ certification process, Luke and Jake are always there for LSA.

Luke and Jake are proud recipients of the 2022 Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award for their extraordinary community service. They are commended scholars on the Head of School Honor Roll at NSU University School, members of 4 national honor societies, presidents of multiple clubs, Key Club officers, and Co-Captains of the Boys Varsity Tennis Team.

Our Co-Presidents are working to grow LSA’s reach across the country. If you’re a student looking to get involved, please reach out directly and learn more.

Timothy Kong

Ambassador

I have been a volunteer coach with Love Serving Autism since 9th grade. The profound connection I have developed with the organization has inspired me to take the next step and establish the Love Serving Autism Tennis Club at my school, American Heritage Broward Campus. Our club aims to provide a distinctive platform for our members, allowing them to channel their tennis skills and passion towards making a positive impact on individuals with autism and developmental challenges.

Taking on the role of a student ambassador for Love Serving Autism, I am honored to contribute to the organization’s growth and expansion. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with autism and developmental challenges, while simultaneously fostering a community that understands and embraces diversity.

Nandini Sundaram

Ambassador

I am a Junior at Cypress Bay High school and I have been volunteering for LSA for the past year and a half.

LSA has helped me share my love of tennis with kids with autism and developmental needs.

I have volunteered at two different LSA program locations in Plantation and Pompano Beach, where I have helped many joyful, determined kids play tennis. It has been a very fulfilling experience for me to connect with these kids. And I have been delighted that they look forward to seeing me every week!

No matter what type of circumstance these kids may have, they always show up and have fun playing tennis. That is the reason I love working with LSA.

I am currently working to raise awareness of LSA at my city’s community events, Tennis clubs and working with school clubs and my friends to organize events to promote LSA. I am also encouraging my tennis buddies to sign-up as volunteers so they too can enjoy the rewarding experience of being a LSA volunteer!

Alessia Rojas

Ambassador

I am serving as a student leadership ambassador for Love Serving Autism because I am passionate about raising awareness for autism and supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This opportunity allows me to combine my passion for helping others with my desire to raise awareness about autism.  I believe that through active initiatives, such as the many tennis lessons we help get volunteers for, we can really make a change and create an inclusive and support environment for all those in need.

Being part of Love Serving Autism also gives me a platform to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share the same commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by autism. Together, we can work towards breaking down barriers, promoting understanding, and fostering a culture of empathy and inclusion.
