Legacy Gordon Macgill

I am truly honored to be selected as a Love Serving Autism Legacy Ambassador because it’s an acknowledgment of all the hard work and dedication I’ve put into building a vibrant program here in Richmond VA from the ground up.  My passion for the LSA mission comes from a strong belief in the power of sport, specifically tennis, to unlock incredible potential in individuals with autism and other special needs, and I aspire to help the mission grow within the existing programs as well as expand throughout the world. Witnessing the joy, the skill development, and the increased social interaction that the programs foster is why I am committed to doing what I can to ensure inclusion and acceptance aren’t just ideals but realities for everyone. Every individual, regardless of their abilities, deserves the chance to belong, to connect, and to thrive, and Love Serving Autism actively creates those opportunities on the court and beyond.

Gordon was recently awarded “USTA Mid-Atlantic’s 2024 Coach of the Year” for all the work he did for his LSA program in Richmond VA:

A time to honor our ambassadors and raise funds and awareness.

The mission of the annual Match Point Gala is to celebrate and honor those nominated as “Legacy Ambassadors.” These are community partners and individuals who have made significant contributions through participation, awareness campaigns, and fundraising.

Their efforts and the funds raised catalyze the development and expansion of Love Serving Autism’s therapeutic programs. These programs create an inclusive and accepting community for neurodiverse individuals, on and off the courts.
